Twin City Graphics

Airplanes & Boats

Aircraft and watercraft are the most expensive things most people own, and they deserve better than a faded factory scheme. Wrapping is a faster, cheaper and fully reversible alternative to paint, and it protects the surface underneath while it turns heads on the ramp or at the dock.

AWARD WINNING DESIGN

Our experienced graphic designers work closely with clients to turn hulls and fuselages into something worth photographing. Our creativity has earned many vehicle graphic awards from 3M and the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada over the years, and the same eye that wins awards on a fifty-three foot trailer knows exactly what to do with a compound-curved hull or a tail section. Whether you’re a charter operator building a brand or an owner who simply wants a scheme nobody else has, we’ll design something that fits the shape of your aircraft or vessel instead of fighting it.

COLOUR CHANGE WITHOUT THE PAINT BOOTH

A full repaint means weeks out of service, a booth, a stripping process and a permanent commitment to whatever colour you picked. A wrap is measured in days, costs a fraction of the price, and can be removed or updated when your branding changes or your taste does. Cast films are available in gloss, matte, satin, metallic, pearl and colour-shift finishes, along with digitally printed imagery that paint simply can’t reproduce.

AIRCRAFT GRAPHICS AND WRAPS

From registration marks and N-numbers to striping, logos, tail art and full-fuselage schemes, we print and cut on high-performance films chosen for the job. Weight is negligible compared to a paint system, which matters when every pound counts, and the film adds a sacrificial barrier against UV, stone chips and ramp rash on the paint below.

We work alongside your AME or maintenance provider on anything involving control surfaces, inspection panels, static ports, antennas or placards, and we defer to them on documentation and release. Corporate, charter, flight school, float, ultralight, amateur-built and warbird projects are all in our wheelhouse. Tell us what you fly and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.

BOAT, YACHT AND PWC WRAPS

Gelcoat is beautiful for about five seasons, then the sun goes to work on it. A marine wrap makes a chalky, oxidized hull look factory-fresh for a fraction of what a repaint costs, and shields the surface from UV, waterline staining and the scuffs that come with docking. Full wraps, partial wraps along the port and starboard sides, transom art, boat names, registration and licence numbers, and cove stripes are all fair game.

We wrap bass and bay boats, pontoons, runabouts, wake and ski boats, sailboats, cruisers, personal watercraft, and commercial vessels including charter, fishing, tour and water taxi operations. Surface prep is where marine wraps live or die, so we don’t rush it, and we finish edges properly with seal tape where the application calls for it.

THE RIGHT FILM FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Air and water are hard on graphics in ways a delivery van never sees. We spec premium cast films and laminates built for constant UV, temperature swings, high speed, moisture and salt, and we apply them with the same techniques that keep our transport work looking sharp after years on the 401. It costs a little more up front. It costs a lot less than doing the job twice.

ONE WAY VISION FILM

Perforated one-way vision film lets us carry graphics across cabin and bridge windows for maximum visual impact. The pattern reads as a high fidelity image from the outside while everyone inside sees straight through, which is a great way to add coverage on a charter vessel without giving up the view.

SHOP SPACE AND MOBILE INSTALLATION

Our seven thousand square foot installation shop is built for oversized work. Fourteen foot doors, seventy-five foot bays and twenty foot ceilings handle just about any trailered boat on the road, and multiple units at once when you’re doing a fleet.

When the asset can’t come to us, we come to it. Our team installs at hangars, FBOs, marinas, dry-stack facilities and boatyards throughout Southern Ontario and beyond, and we’ll travel further for the right project. Have graphics from a third party and need help with the install? Send us your material spec and layout and we’ll get back to you with a quote.

ON TIME SERVICE

The season is short and the flying weather is shorter. We schedule around your launch date, your annual, or the tournament you can’t miss, and we plan the work so your boat isn’t stuck on the hard in July and your aircraft isn’t sitting in a hangar during the best week of the year. Book early for spring and we’ll have you looking new before the ice is out.

DECAL AND ADHESIVE REMOVAL

Selling, rebranding or handing back a leased aircraft? We remove old graphics and adhesive as part of our service. Our approach starts with a non-chemical, non-abrasive method that protects the paint or gelcoat underneath as much as possible, and from there we rely on the same attention to detail that guides our installations to leave minimal residue behind.

GET IN TOUCH

Send us photos, the make and model, and a rough idea of what you have in mind. We’ll walk you through the options and give you a straight answer on cost and timing.

What are the typical lead times for aircraft and marine graphics?
Scheduling depends on the complexity of the project, availability of materials, current production workload, and the design process. Typical lead times run from a few days to a couple of weeks once we have final artwork approval. Spring is our busiest stretch for boats, so if you want to be on the water for the May long weekend, talk to us over the winter.

How should I prepare my boat or aircraft before installation?
We ask that the surface be free of excessive dirt, grime, salt and algae. Please do not apply wax, polish, ceramic coating or protectant products before bringing it to us, as these interfere with adhesion. If the gelcoat or paint is heavily oxidized, chalky or flaking, let us take a look first — prep is what determines whether a wrap lasts five years or five months.

Will a wrap protect my gelcoat or paint?
Yes. A properly installed wrap using quality films acts as a sacrificial barrier against UV exposure, oxidation, waterline staining, and minor scuffs and abrasions. On aircraft it also takes the hit from ramp rash and light stone chips instead of the paint below.

Can you wrap below the waterline?
No. Wraps are for surfaces above the waterline. Anything that sits submerged still needs bottom paint, and we finish the wrap at the boot stripe so the two systems work together properly.

Does a wrap add weight or affect how my aircraft flies?
The added weight is negligible compared to a paint system, which is one of the main reasons owners choose film. That said, we work alongside your AME or maintenance provider on anything involving control surfaces, inspection panels, static ports, antennas or placards, and we defer to them on documentation and release.

Can a wrap be removed later?
Yes. Premium films are designed to be removed at the end of their lifespan, which makes wrapping the easy choice if you plan to sell, rebrand, or simply change your mind. We offer removal services for an additional fee using a non-chemical, non-abrasive approach that protects the surface underneath.

How long will my graphics last?
Warranty periods vary by product and application, but as a rule, professionally applied marine and aircraft graphics have an expected life of five to eight years when cared for correctly. Vessels stored under cover or indoors over the winter will see the long end of that range.

How do I care for the wrap?
Hand wash with mild soap and rinse well after each outing, especially in salt water. Skip the abrasive compounds, pressure washer wands held close to seams and edges, and anything solvent-based. We can recommend a film-safe sealant if you want extra gloss retention.
